An Elegant April Wedding at Sacred Heart Middlesbrough & Grinkle Park Hotel
April is always a notoriously difficult month in which to guess the weather for a wedding but the wedding of Richard & Danielle broke nicely from early showers in the morning to beautiful Spring sunshine in the afternoon - very blessed indeed!
So the wedding began in Middlesbrough, a race between the couple's home where the guys were getting ready and over to Mum and Dad's house where the bridal party were gathered. I always try to get shots of Bride and Groom preparations if at all possible and we managed both on the day.
Then a dash to Sacred Heart Church in Middlesbrough for the ceremony and, wow, what a stunning interior to a fairly plain exterior,
The Catholic ceremony was conducted with grace and humour and then the mad dash to the Reception venue began. Grinkle Park Hotel is a beautiful and intimate venue set in the stunning North Yorkshire moors and despite it being 30 minutes from Middlesbrough, this Photographer made it there well before most people and, most importantly, the couple. At this stage it is worth mentioning what a great team they are at Grinkle Park - ever helpful, understanding and flexible. They always made sure I had what I needed, something not every venue does. As mentioned earlier the weather broke with beautiful sunshine and I was able to get enough time for the key shots.
It was a great day and I did stay on after the First Dance for some informal shots, which are a favourite of mine. A really fun wedding and a great day - if you are thinking of getting married at Grinkle Park it's a fab place and I would thoroughly recommend it. For more shots of the day see the Gallery Page here
